Libby Hartle is Pocket Utopia's first and Fall 2007 post-studio artist in resident. Pocket Utopia's artist in residence program is very flexible, the artist can self-define it, create it, make it worthwhile and their own. The idea of the artist in resident program is of course, inspired by those who can embrace the post-studio practice, conceptually and physically. The first season being Sept. to January.

Hours of the residency are a little up to the artist, but there's an implied "open to the public" arrangement, meaning yes, they can work both Saturday and Sunday or any combination of those days when the gallery is open. The artist in residence can also be there whenever they want. Artists are empowered to fully integrate themselves into the Pocket Utopia community.

At the end of the residency or season there will be an official open-studio presentation. It's a very experimental residency.
